What makes the Accu-Chek® Solo tubeless patch pump system different from other patch pump systems?
  • It includes a Quick Bolus option with bolus buttons on the pump itself giving you the option to bolus even when the diabetes manager is not at hand
  • The modularity of the system offers the patient plenty of flexibility to adjust the system to their usage behavior and individual needs. It is a semi-disposable system, which means that you dispose of those components only, that need replacement, i.e. the reservoir when being empty, and the infusion unit in the case you want to change sites. All other parts of the system can be re-used multiple times.
  • It’s tube-free, but still lets you detach and reattach without wasting insulin or supplies and only has one mercury-free, zinc-air battery.
  • It allows you to replace your infusion assembly independently and any time without the need to replace other components of the system.
  • It gives you the choice of two cannula lengths – 6 and 9mm – to better match your personal preferences.
  • From the diabetes manager´s home screen, most of the functionalities can be accessed directly to facilitate the daily diabetes management

Is there a CGM connectivity to the Accu-Chek® Solo tubeless patch pump system?

The first generation of the Accu-Chek® Solo tubeless patch pump will not offer a CGM integration. For future product iterations we plan to integrate CGM data into the system. The diabetes manager allows you to manually enter a glucose value that can be used to e.g. calculate a bolus. You could use your CGM device of choice in conjunction with the Accu-Chek® Solo tubeless patch pump system.

For whom is the Accu-Chek® Solo tubeless patch pump system?

For patients depending on insulin with multiple daily injections and patients already on CSII who would like to have a pump without tubing. The main target group are young and young at heart PwD on MDI therapy hesitant to move to CSII due to the downsides of the tubing of conventional pumps seeking for more flexibility managing their diabetes and insulin dosing with little impact on their active lifestyle.

Is it possible to test the Accu-Chek® Solo tubeless patch pump?

You can test a demo tubeless patch pump to experience the wearing, prior to moving to pump therapy. It can be worn on the body, at one of the recommended insertion sites, without an inserted cannula. The Accu-Chek® Solo demo tubeless patch pump is a model of the real Accu-Chek® Solo tubeless patch pump, but without functionality. It has the same dimensions and weight as the original tubeless patch pump.

What is the Accu-Chek® Solo tubeless patch pump system?

The Accu-Chek® Solo tubeless patch pump system offers the functions of a traditional insulin pump alongside with the technological advancement of tube-free insulin delivery. The system consists of two main components: a small, lightweight and detachable insulin tubeless patch pump and a full-featured remote control incorporating blood glucose monitoring and bolus advice. The system with its modular design allows for bolus insulin dosing both from the remote control or directly from the pump as well as the option to detach and re-attach the pump without wasting insulin or disposables.
