Pair the Accu-Chek SmartGuide sensor and app

  • Before you start the pairing process, make sure your mobile phone has Bluetooth® and location services enabled and is discoverable by other devices. To complete the pairing process, you’ll need the applicator's twist cap, which has a serial number and a 6-digit PIN code printed on it.

Here’s how to pair the sensor with the app

  1. Make sure Bluetooth is activated on your phone.

  2. On your homescreen, tap on “Connect now” or go to “Connections” in the menu and tap on Accu-Chek SmartGuide to connect.

  3. Keep the twist cap of your CGM sensor as it is needed to verify the device.

  4. Your phone looks for sensors in range. Select your CGM sensor once listed.
     

  5. Once the CGM sensor is found, locate the 6-digit pin on the cap label.

  6. Click Pair once you are prompted to enter the 6-digit PIN code from the twist cap of the applicator.

  7. Congratulations! The pairing is complete!

  8. After you pair your CGM sensor, you can tap on “Next” to review important therapy information.

  9. As a next step, you can set high & low alarms for your CGM values and enable critical alarms.

  10. Congratulations! Once your alarms are set, your device is now set and ready to receive and share data.

  11. Finally, the app will now guide you through more information on current CGM values, accurate CGM values, Therapy and Trend Mode, past CGM values, entries from the mySugr logbook, future CGM values, your next 2 hours, and values outside of the graph.

  • Some Android smartphone models may wrongly suggest that your PIN code will be either 0000 or 1234 rather than the 6 digits on the twist cap; ignore this note from the operating system and always refer to the PIN from the twist cap.

  • Pair the Accu-Chek SmartGuide sensor and app

    After your sensor has warmed up to your body, you will need to calibrate it to ensure your glucose values are as accurate as possible and to use them to make therapy decisions.
