General questions
What makes the Accu-Chek® Solo tubeless patch pump system different from other patch pump systems?
- It includes a Quick Bolus option with bolus buttons on the pump itself giving you the option to bolus even when the diabetes manager is not at hand
- The modularity of the system offers the patient plenty of flexibility to adjust the system to their usage behavior and individual needs. It is a semi-disposable system, which means that you dispose of those components only, that need replacement, i.e. the reservoir when being empty, and the infusion unit in the case you want to change sites. All other parts of the system can be re-used multiple times.
- It’s tube-free, but still lets you detach and reattach without wasting insulin or supplies and only has one mercury-free, zinc-air battery.
- It allows you to replace your infusion assembly independently and any time without the need to replace other components of the system.
- It gives you the choice of two cannula lengths – 6 and 9mm – to better match your personal preferences.
- From the diabetes manager´s home screen, most of the functionalities can be accessed directly to facilitate the daily diabetes management
