Ingredients:

  • 3 cup of whole flour
  • 3 cup milk
  • 5 whole egg
  • 150 gm butter
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • ½  a tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of cardamom
  • 5 grams of saffron
  • 50 grams of honey
  • Black and white sesame seeds

How to prepare:

  1. In a bowl add and mix together 5 whole eggs, 1 tablespoon spoon of sugar, ½ a tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of cardamom and 5 grams of saffron.
  2. Next add 150 grams of butter, 3 cups of milk and 3 cups of whole flour.
  3. Mix all ingredients together and make sure to divide the batter among 10 equal parts to create the crepes.
  4. Cook the crepes on medium heat for around 1-2 minutes on each side.

Once the crepes have been completed slice 1 crepe into triangles drizzle some honey and garnish with some saffron and black and white sesame seeds.

 

Mhala (Emirati Dessert) Recipe makes 10 servings
